Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Multi-Chem Group LLC. Initially announced in September, the acquisition further strengthens Halliburton’s total offering while improving its competitiveness in a rapidly expanding global business. Multi-Chem is the fourth-largest provider of production chemicals in North America, delivering specialty chemicals, services and solutions that help oil and gas companies develop their resources in more than 30,000 oil and natural gas wells around the world.

Multi-Chem exhibited at the 2011 SPE Unconventional Gas Conference from June 14th – June 16th. The exhibition kicked off the evening of June 14th with a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel. We were excited that many of you stopped by our booth to say hello. Our Houston based Global Business Development Managers were on hand along with the Executive Director of the East Coast Region to answering all and any questions our operators had about Multi-Chem and the part we play in the oil and gas industry.
During the conference, we received many questions regarding environmentally conscious alternatives to traditional frac additives. Multi-Chem has a line of products, NaturaLine™, that were developed using guidance from the EPA and other agencies. We hope you’ll take the time to learn more about NaturaLine™ and how these additives can increase your IP.
