Corrosion Inhibitors to Provide Protection and Maintain Pipeline Integrity

Multi-Chem offers a variety of corrosion inhibitors, such as water or oil soluble, encapsulated, high shear, high-temperature pressure-stable and umbilical certified corrosion inhibitors. In addition to providing corrosion protection products, Multi-Chem will evaluate fluid properties and field conditions to customize a corrosion treatment program specific to your needs, so your asset can continue to work at peak efficiency year after year.

Benefits
  • Mitigate corrosion in wellbores, flowlines, transmission lines, gathering lines and pipelines of oil and gas systems to preserve integrity for years
  • Mitigate pitting corrosion, costly corrosion failure, and down time
  • Lower dosage rates require smaller pumps and infrastructure to deliver
  • Combination products to minimize CAPEX cost associated with application

Corrosion occurs where water and gasses are present and can lead to production challenges, such as increased iron and manganese levels in your fluids, increased iron carbonate and sulfide deposition in your flowlines and pipelines, costly environmental cleanup of failures, deteriorating equipment due to wall loss, as well as increased solids in your produced water and a pressure drop and reduction of your gas/oil production. Corrosion inhibition is an important part of maintaining as high a level of asset integrity as possible. Chemical treatment, such as Multi-Chem’s line of corrosion inhibitors, is one of the most economical ways you can protect your asset.

In addition, Multi-Chem will design a corrosion monitoring program to address the risk profile of your location. Through regular monitoring for corrosion potential and chemical performance, an optimized corrosion mitigation program will be created to protect your asset year after year. This helps to ensure that your system’s metallurgy is protected and the effective life of your asset is extended. It also provides significant cost savings by preventing failures and potential fines, as well as aiding maximum production capacity through the systems.

With a customized corrosion treatment program, Multi-Chem can help you to keep your oil and gas production working at top efficiency while protecting the integrity of your asset over its lifecycle.
