Iron Sulfide Dissolvers and Specialty Chemicals to Help Prevent Damaging Chemical Iron Sulfide Buildups
Multi-Chem provides a number of specialty chemicals to remove iron sulfide, all specifically designed to attack your unique production challenges in the most effective way possible. Our approach is tailored to your own system conditions and operating parameters for the best in corrosion protection.
Benefits
- Increased production
- Increased performance of injection wells; reduced injection pressure
- Fewer equipment failures
- Decrease use of water clarifiers and emulsion breakers
- Removal of iron sulfide related operational problems, including under deposit corrosion
- Minimized release of toxic hydrogen sulfide in downstream fluids following treatment
- Reduce or eliminate emulsions at separator interfaces caused by asphaltenes
Iron sulfide is generally considered to be a by-product of hydrogen sulfide corrosion, but can also be formed when one water stream has both hydrogen sulfide and soluble iron present. Iron sulfide may become “oil wet” and carry produced oil with it into the water phase. Iron sulfide can be particularly detrimental to the life expectancy of your downhole equipment due to other symptoms, such as black water, equipment plugging, pump failures, corrosion and fouling of low permeability production and injection zones.
Multi-Chem’s customized iron sulfide dissolver treatments are an effective way to remove iron sulfide in production and injection systems, helping you resolve related water quality issues and near wellbore damage. Our chemical specialists can conduct thorough evaluations of your systems to determine which of our production chemicals will be the most effective, not only from a cost standpoint, but from an operational and prevention standpoint as well.
